Safeguarding
The Safeguarding Team
Mrs Fowler is the Dessignated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
The Staff and Governors at Milton Park recognise that children can be vulnerable to various forms of abuse and may be exposed to social factors that negatively impact their lives, such as domestic violence, substance misuse, bullying, mental health issues, and radicalisation. We are aware that safeguarding incidents can occur anywhere and remain vigilant in identifying potential concerns.
Our team is prepared to support you with safeguarding matters, offering advice and assistance when needed. Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) communicate daily and hold regular meetings with the pastoral team and phase leaders to discuss any concerns raised and ways to support children and families in need.
DSLs collaborate with families directly and engage with external partners and agencies that can provide additional resources or expertise to address the unique needs of each situation.
Mrs Middleton, Mrs Young and Mrs Hall are the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs)
Aamir Amin is our Safeguarding Governor
Our safeguarding governor has regular meetings with the DSL to monitor safeguarding procedures in school to ensure these are effective.
Our curriculum is designed to teach children how to stay safe and happy.
Through our relational practice apporach, we foster an understanding that any concern or worry they may have is valid and encourage children to share their concerns with one of their High-5 trusted adults in school, trusted adults at home, or through ChildLine.
We caputre the children's voice through the use of the 'My World Triangle'. My Voice is a strategy that we use to give the children the opportunity to celebrate things that are going well and problem solve the things that they wish they could change. For our younger children, this if often done through play.
