Family Support

I am the Pastoral Manager here at Milton Park Primary School. During term time, I can work in partnership with parents/carers, schools and other agencies to support families, aiming to reduce current issues and prevent future difficulties. 

My role involves:

• Acting as a link between home and school: including making home visits  or meeting at other suitable locations

• Offering a range of servces to children and families requiring support and information iwth behaviour, medical concerns and many other areas where required

• Help children and families to increase school attendance and minimise absences

• Support parents to develop and maintain a positive relationship with the school

• Support groups for parents/carers

I am here to support families/carers with a wirde range of issues and concerns such as:

• Behaviour support

• Attendance

• Home circumstances

• Housing

• Budgeting

• Home-school relationship

• Parental separation

• Bereavement

• Filling in forms such as school admissions, special educational needs, housing and benefits

We know children achieve more when both home and school are working in partnership to support a child's development. My aim is to encourage and maintain a strong, positive partnership between home and school. I help with many worries, or concerns our parents or children may have, however large or small.
